Weekend Details
We know this is a lot of information, but please review carefully before arriving on campus!
Friday, September 13
- Wondering what to wear? Casual black & gold attire is always in style. Plan for the weather and walking on grass as most events are outside.
- Don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle! We are upping our own game this year by taking steps to reduce our environmental impact during Homecoming & Reunion Weekend. There are water fountains across campus where you can refill your bottle AND we’ll have water stations at Party So Dear and Tailgate for refilling your own bottles or cups provided at the event. Learn more about how Deacs can Go Green at Homecoming this year.
- Where to park? Take out the guesswork and park at 2400 Reynolda Road (just across the street from the main campus entrance) and ride the shuttle running continuously from 10:30 a.m.- 12:30 a.m. The shuttle will pick up at the tent at 2400 and drop-off at Benson from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for Golden Deacs and after 2:00 p.m. will drop off between Poteat and Kitchen Residence Halls in the Shuttle Hub lot.
- Use the interactive campus map to identify accessible parking and routes around campus.
- Did you ONLY register for Party So Dear? You may go directly to one of the two entrances on Manchester Plaza (Mag Quad) where your bags will be checked. Guests who are 21+ may purchase drink tickets (credit card only) for alcohol at the Drink Ticket/ID tent in the center of the event footprint. Water & soda are complimentary. Wine/beer tickets may be purchased in advance at the Welcome Center.
- Have a question or need your registration packet for a Reunion Class Party or the Tailgate? Stop by the Homecoming Welcome Center located in the Green Room in Reynolda Hall.
- Are you a Golden Deac (Class of 1974 or older)? Your registration packet may be picked up on the front patio of Benson University Center from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with reunion class photos at 11:30 and lunch beginning at 11:45 a.m. Then, packets will be moved to the Homecoming Welcome Center in the Green Room of Reynolda Hall.
