Class of 1964

Class of 1964,

We are very much looking forward to seeing you September 20 & 21 for our 55th Wake Forest Reunion.  The weekend schedule has many great events that you will want to enjoy, but we really want to see you at our Class of 1964 Brunch on Saturday morning September 21 in the Magnolia Room, Reynolda Hall. A Saturday reunion brunch has become a tradition for our class and even though Ted Meredith and David Zacks are unable to be with us this year, we thought it would be a great way to celebrate 55 years.  Come and enjoy reconnecting with friends over mimosas and Bloody Marys back on campus where it all began. We have tentatively set the time for 10 a.m. but may need to adjust once the game time is announced.  We hope you will make plans to be here on Friday to take in all of the fun events mentioned below and enjoy spending time with friends on Friday night for dinner after enjoying the music of The Temptations at Party So Dear.

Friday, September 20:

  • 10:30 a.m. Golden Deacs Gathering and Photo, Benson University Center, 3rd Floor Rotunda
  • 11:30 a.m. Golden Deacs Luncheon with guest speaker Wubetu Shimelash ’20 as he shares about his journey from Ethiopia to Wake Forest, Benson University Center, Suite 401
  • 1:00-5:00 p.m. Trolley Tours of Campus with student tour guides (hop on/hop off) and shuttles to Wake Downtown (1:00 – 4:00 p.m.)
  • 4:30-7:30 p.m. Party So Dear, featuring The Temptations, Mag Quad
  • Plan dinner out with friends

Saturday, September 21: (Schedule dependent on game time.)

  • 9 a.m. Service of Remembrance, Wait Chapel
  • 10 a.m. Class of 1964 Brunch Magnolia Room, Reynolda Hall ($25) (Time may change.)
  • Festival on the Quad
  • Alumni Tailgate (3 hours prior to kickoff), Baity Street at BB&T Field
  • Wake Forest vs. Elon football game, BB&T Field

We started the WFU Class of 1964 Facebook page and would love to have you join.  This is a great way to reconnect prior to our reunion and to remain connected afterward.  For questions about the weekend, please contact Emily Cockerham in the Reunion Office at cockeres@nullwfu.edu or 336-758-5819.  Please plan to join us September 20 & 21 as we celebrate our 55th Reunion!
